The Staten Island Seisiún has returned for the 2018-2019 season! This month, join us on January 13th from 2-5pm at LIBERTY TAVERN (382 Forest Avenue, Staten Island, NY 10301).
Join Douglas Barr, Linda Hickman, and Bob Wright for this Irish traditional music session with a Staten Island flavor, every *second* Sunday from 2-5pm through June.
All are welcome. Bring your instruments to join in, or simply stop by to listen and enjoy the company. Musicians of all levels and ages are encouraged to participate. Admission is free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
The Staten Island Seisiún is an informal, afternoon gathering dedicated to the practice and enjoyment of Irish traditional music. Experts in the field of Irish traditional music, Doug, Linda, and Bob lead this all-levels Seisiún with an emphasis on the styles of Ireland’s west coast, specifically east Galway and Clare. A much-beloved musical community event, the Staten Island Seisiún embraces the spirit of hospitality, participation, and craic. It’s an opportunity to share tunes and camaraderie. Join us to see what it’s all about!
