Bill Bytsura, the photographer and author of “the AIDS activist project” will be speaking about his book which documents AIDS activists from 1989 - 1998. It has been over 30 years in the making and he is proud to present the finished book.

Bytsura took black and white portraits of activists and created a collection of strong and moving images documenting the people who fought the AIDS crisis. The work focuses on the activist group ACT UP. Chapters of this group from New York to Amsterdam, Paris and Berlin are included. It is now a historical document of the people and the fight against AIDS.
