Come on down to the Downtown Staten Island Weekend Walk!

On Saturday, October 13 Bay Street between Water Street and Vanderbilt Avenue will be closed to traffic and open for fun.  Enjoy brunch at one of the many restaurants, or just take a stroll.  We're turning the streets over to you! Activities include:

• Musical entertainment

• Cornhole tournaments

• "Giant" games such as Connect 4, Jenga, and Playing Cards

• Raffles

• Sports (Stickball Exhibition Game, pong, BMX Bike & Scooter Show, and more!)

• Life-size Chess

Also stop by Tappen Park to visit Council Member Debi Rose's annual Community Fair, with fun for all!

Weekend Walks are multi-block, multi-day events on commercial corridors that promote the use of streets as public space. Community based organizations apply to close commercial streets and provide programming that highlights local businesses and New York City’s unique neighborhoods.  Weekend Walks are sponsored by the NYC Department of Transportation.
