The Tale of the Matron is a historic walking tour and recount of events that took place at Snug Harbor in 1863. You’ll enter three buildings that are typically closed to the public: the Matron’s House, the Butcher’s Cottage, and the former Surgeon’s House (now known as the Governors House). Each space has its own unique connection with history, life and the afterlife.
These tours are rain or shine. Guests are encouraged to bring their own flashlight, though a limited quantity will be available to borrow.
General admission: $10 | Snug Harbor Members/Students/Seniors: $8
