Joan Caddell & The Midnight Choir is a homegrown Staten Island band featuring the original music and powerful vocals of Joan Caddell. With a songbook that straddles several different genres, Joan and the Choir embody a unique style best described as Americana pop rock with a little country on the side. The band regularly performs their eclectic mix of cover songs and uplifting originals in venues throughout Staten Island including The St. George Theatre, Snug Harbor Cultural Center, The Stone House, Alor Café and Adobe Blues, as well as in well-known NYC clubs like The Bitter End, Arlene’s Grocery and The Hudson Terrace. They have also performed in New Orleans, Rhode Island, Boston, and Nova Scotia, Canada. Joan Caddell & The Midnight Choir have been voted Staten Island’s “Best Original Band” the past 2 years in a row in the Advance Readers Poll. In 2011, the band competed in the NYC Battles of the Boroughs against more than 500 New York City musicians and was the Staten Island winner, sending them to the finals where they were awarded with the coveted title of “In House Favorite Band.”
