In partnership with the Pride Center of Staten Island, Gena Mimozo will be directing a reading of Paul Lucas’s award-winning play about transgender identity, TransScripts Part I: The Women.

The reading is in celebration of Trans Day of Visibility which is an annual event occurring on March 31, dedicated to celebrating transgender people and raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide.

The holiday was founded by US-based transgender activist Rachel Crandall of Michigan in 2009.
