In Shaker Heights, a placid, progressive suburb of Cleveland, Elena Richardson exemplifies the routine and picture-perfect disposition of the town. Prepare for Staten Island St. Patrick’s Day by trying Flagship’s Irish Coffee Stout. This beer will be made in a limited stock through a local collaboration with Unique Coffee Roasters.

This workshop is a hand-building class for all skill levels with raku clay. Over the course of 4 weeks, students will create a small body of work that will be fired in a raku kiln in MakerPark during a special 5th day event. Different non-traditional finishes will be discussed and all work will be created with these different techniques in mind. The final day of this workshop, students will get to experience loading the kiln, getting it up to temperature, and adding their own finishes as the pieces leave the kiln.

Rob Hart, author of The Warehouse, will lead a six-session writing workshop that will cover the topics of storytelling basics, the writing process, first draft, editing, putting together a query package, and sending the work to agents and editors. Hart’s novel The Warehouse has sold in 21 countries and has been optioned for a film by Ron Howard.

The Flagship Dog Club is for that special breed of dog and beer loving people. We will meet every Tuesday at 7pm in the taproom. Feel free to bring your (well behaved) pups to the meetings. Once a month, we Will have a guest speaker in to talk to the club about their specialty or knowledge in regards to the well being of our beloved dogs.

This Valentines Day do something really HOT! Get an introduction to MIG (metal inert gas) welding and using the plasma cutter to cut out your own Valentine's Day heart and practice making basic welds. We'll have a champagne toast at the end of the class.
This workshop that takes place over the course of one 3-hour session will give you an overview of the components of the MIG welding machine and the plasma cutter. You will learn how to cut shapes and designs with the plasma cutter and practice basic welds with the MIG. PREREQUISITES: This is open to anyone 18 and up. No welding experience necessary. Please wear hair tied back, closed toe boots, jeans, and long-sleeved shirts.

If you help us make compost, you can take compost. Please bring your own container.  Please note this is a volunteer event and not a pick-up event. You must volunteer at the work day to receive compost. Supplies may be limited. Registration is strongly recommended.
