When friends of the Richardsons attempt to adopt a Chinese-American baby, a custody battle dramatically divides the town in a disagreement that finds Elena and Mia on opposing sides. Raku Handbuilding Workshop

This workshop is a hand-building class for all skill levels with raku clay. Over the course of 4 weeks, students will create a small body of work that will be fired in a raku kiln in MakerPark during a special 5th day event. Different non-traditional finishes will be discussed and all work will be created with these different techniques in mind. The final day of this workshop, students will get to experience loading the kiln, getting it up to temperature, and adding their own finishes as the pieces leave the kiln.

Hart’s novel The Warehouse has sold in 21 countries and has been optioned for a film by Ron Howard.

Valentines Day Couples Welding

This Valentines Day do something really HOT! Get an introduction to MIG (metal inert gas) welding and using the plasma cutter to cut out your own Valentine's Day heart and practice making basic welds. We'll have a champagne toast at the end of the class.
This workshop that takes place over the course of one 3-hour session will give you an overview of the components of the MIG welding machine and the plasma cutter. You will learn how to cut shapes and designs with the plasma cutter and practice basic welds with the MIG. PREREQUISITES: This is open to anyone 18 and up. No welding experience necessary. Please wear hair tied back, closed toe boots, jeans, and long-sleeved shirts.

The best way to learn about compost is to make it, and attending our Turn & Learn will make you a pro. Bring a water bottle, wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty. If you help us make compost, you can take compost. Please bring your own container.  Please note this is a volunteer event and not a pick-up event. You must volunteer at the work day to receive compost. Supplies may be limited. Registration is strongly recommended.
